The classification of grates is mainly as follows:

According to the classification of slag removal methods, grates can be divided into manual slag removal grates, mechanical slag removal grates and hydraulic removal grates.

High chain mechanical grates are suitable for deep pools, such as deep well pools for sewage collection, and have a good removal effect on long fibers, ribbons and other debris. Its advantages are small footprint, simple structure, easy manufacturing and maintenance, but debris is easily stuck between the chain and the sprocket, and the cost is high and the corrosion resistance is poor.

The rotary grating is suitable for intercepting large particles of various pool depths and water depths. It has a compact structure, small size, light weight, and stable operation. It can realize manual intermittent operation and automatic continuous operation. Its advantages are compact structure, stable operation, and convenient maintenance, but it needs to be equipped with arc grates, which is more difficult to manufacture and has poor removal effect on small particle impurities.

The rotary grating is suitable for deep pools and shallow pools, and is suitable for removing various shapes of debris in sewage. Its advantages are good decontamination effect, high degree of automatic separation of solids and liquids, and small equipment footprint, but it is difficult to manufacture and install.

The stepped mechanical screen is suitable for large urban sewage treatment plants. It has good decontamination effect, stable operation, and convenient maintenance, but the equipment occupies a large area.

The arc screen is suitable for the water inlet channel of the shallow pool. The equipment occupies a small area, has stable operation and convenient maintenance, but it is not effective in removing small particles of debris.
