* Use reverse osmosis membrane separation technology to desalinate seawater.
* The reverse osmosis desalination process does not need to be heated to seawater, operating at normal temperature, without phase change, so the energy consumption is low and the water cost is low.
* This sea water RO system fully considers the special design of the ship's particularity. Small size, light weight, easy to install and easy to install, it can be installed in the narrow and crowded cabin, deck, crew cabin, corridor, and so on. The rack pipes are made of stainless steel and corrosion-resistant materials.The power supply is wide (220V (440) / 60HZ, 380V / 50HZ)

Sea Water RO System Process flow

 

The sea water RO system uses semi-permeable membrane technology, forcing seawater through the reverse osmosis membrane under high pressure to effectively remove salt and various impurities, converting seawater into freshwater. This technology is environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and produces excellent water quality, making it one of the most widely recognized seawater desalination technologies globally.

 

1. Raw Water Intake: Seawater is introduced into the system through the intake facility and undergoes preliminary filtration to prevent large particles from entering the equipment, ensuring smooth subsequent treatment.

 

2. Pretreatment Stage: Pretreatment is a critical step in ensuring the lifespan of the reverse osmosis membrane and the stable operation of the system. Seawater undergoes coagulation, sedimentation, and multi-stage filtration to remove suspended solids, organic matter, and microorganisms, ensuring that the water entering the reverse osmosis membrane meets the required quality standards.

 

3. High-Pressure Pump Pressurization: Pretreated seawater is pressurized to the required pressure by a high-pressure pump, providing the power for the subsequent reverse osmosis process. This step ensures the effective separation of salts by the reverse osmosis membrane.

 

4. Reverse Osmosis Membrane Separation: Under high pressure, seawater passes through the reverse osmosis membrane. Salts, bacteria, and harmful substances are retained, while purified water permeates through the membrane to become product water, and the high-concentration brine is discharged from the system.

 

5. Product Water Treatment: The produced freshwater often undergoes further treatment, such as pH adjustment and mineralization, to improve water quality and meet drinking or industrial water standards.

 

6. Concentrated Water Treatment: Concentrated water is treated for safe discharge or reuse to ensure environmental protection and the rational use of resources.

Sea Water RO System Main Parts

 

  • Raw water tank: Store water, buffering pressure, overcome instability of supplying water by pipe, ensure to supply water stably and continuously for whole system. (Customer provide, because big size will result in expensive freight.)
  • Raw water pump / booster pump: Provide needed pressure for the pretreatment filters
  • Quartz sand filter/Mechanical filter: FRP or stainless steel vessel as housing, fill quarts sand, it can filter big particles impurities, suspended substances, colloids etc.
  • Activated carbon filter: FRP or stainless steel vessel as housing, fill activated carbon, remove color, odor, residual chlorine and organics substances.
  • Water softener/ demineralizer/ Na+ exchanger: Adopt cation resin to Soften water, cation resin will absorb Ca2+, Mg2+(main elements for composing scale), reduce hardness of raw water, System can make resin intelligently regenerate, recycling.
  • Security filter /PP filter:Prevent large particles, bacteria, viruses into RO membrane, accuracy is 5μm
  • High pressure Pump: Provide needed working pressure for RO system, ensure production capacity of pure water. (CNP pump or customer-specified)
  • Reverse osmosis(RO) system: Can remove particles, colloids, organic impurities, heavy metal ions, bacteria, virus, heat source etc. harmful substances and 99% dissolved salts. (RO membranes USA Filmtec, Toray, LG,Vontron or customer-specified)
  • Electrical Control Cabinet:Automatic control, Relay /PLC/HIM as optional
