What is Seawater Desalination System

 

Sea water desalination is to produce fresh water by desalinating seawater. It is the technology of open-sourcing and increment to realize water resources utilization, which could increase the amount of fresh water, and has no influence by space-time and climate, ensuring good water quality and reasonable price, guaranteeing a stable supply of drinking water and industrial boiler water for coastal citizens.


At present, Seawater Desalination solutions are usually made according to the raw water quality. As seawater TDS ranges widely, we usually make customized machines according to water reports provided by customers. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane

 

The reverse osmosis process is the world's advanced, energy-saving, and effective separation technology now, with a filtration accuracy of 0.001 μm to completely separate and remove all particles of soluble salts, colloids, organics, microorganisms, viruses, bacteria, rust, and heavy metals in water. It requires pressure to force pure water across a membrane, leaving the impurities behind.


However, note that reverse osmosis systems are not ideal for treating water that is very hard and/or with significant quantities of contaminants. In this case, to extend the operating life of the membrane, the water should be pre-treated before entering reverse osmosis membranes (filtering, deferrization, etc.).

Seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) is a reverse osmosis membrane desalination process. These systems vary in size, ranging from large-scale desalination plants to small-scale desalination drinking water treatment units. A typical single-stage seawater treatment system includes the following components:

* Intake: Beach well water
* Pretreatment: Filtration and chemical dosing
* High-pressure pump: To achieve the required pressure
* Membrane modules: To perform the desalination process
* pH adjustment: To adjust the acidity or alkalinity.
* Disinfection: To prevent the growth of any bacteria or organic matter.
